Each fish we process must be 10lbs and over. (Rock fish is an exception.)

Five Star's standard operating procedure is packaging your fish in 3 mil. bags. We have found that handling your packaged fillets carefully should eliminate loosing the integrity of the bags, however, we also offer 5 mil. bags if you prefer.

PRICING OF 3 MIL. BAGS*

$0.85 per pound for fillet and vacuum packaging*

$1.35 per pound for smoking and vacuum packaging*

$2.35 per pound for jerking and vacuum packaging*

 

PRICING OF 5 MIL. BAGS*

$1.05 per pound for fillet and vacuum packaging*

$1.55 per pound for smoking and vacuum packaging*

$2.55 per pound for jerking and vacuum packaging*

 

*Prices based on whole weight of the fish.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO KEEP IN MIND

WE ONLY PROCESS WHOLE OR GUT & GILLED FISH!! NO FILLETS ****ACCEPTED****

All skin is removed from fillets with the exception of wahoo and/or any fish deemed necessary to leave skin on for the preservation of a good steak/fillet. Sometimes fish is received in a less then exceptional form, our cutters are trained to leave skin on when necessary to preserve the quality of the steak/fillet.  

PLEASE REMEMBER...OUR GOAL IS TO DELIVER YOUR FISH TO ORDER, some changes may need to be made in the cutting room to deliver your product as superior as possible.

YELLOWTAIL COLLARS & BELLIES ARE CONSIDERED A SPECIAL ORDER ITEM AND MUST BE REQUESTED DURING SIGN-IN

Yellowtail collars & bellies require additional labor; we do realize your desire for them.

We are happy to provide up to six (6) yellowtail collars & bellies for $2.00 a piece on your order. 

 YELLOWTAIL ONLY! 

Keep in mind the integrity of the bags may be compromised due to bones.  We are unable to guarantee the seal on all collars & bellies, or whole fish!!!

SHIPPING

Five Star gives our customer the option of shipping via UPS (to the Los Angeles area), Federal Express, or picking up at their local airport through the airlines cargo department.  

All shipping prices vary according to location.  Speak to a Five Star employee for current rates.  Our customer is responsible for shipping charges.  

PAYMENT

We accept all credit cards, personal checks, and cash

Your fish can be held up to 30 days in our freezer.  We will hold fish for longer if arrangements are made.  

HOURS OF OPERATION

Five Star employees meet each Long Range boat at the top of the dock year round.   We service Fishermen's Landing, Point Loma Sportfishing, and H&M Landing.  Long Range is considered 4 days and longer.

June - November: completed pick up times 10am - 2pm

December - May: call for appointment

SAME DAY SERVICE is provided for customers who need their fish processed the day they arrive if the fish is kept fresh.  Frozen fish will need one to three days to thaw before being cut.  

Your fish can be kept fresh or frozen.  Please specify on your invoice which option is best for you.
